The match between Burnley and Chelsea kicks off on Saturday, 5 March 2022. Entering the game, Burnley went without a win over Chelsea at Burnley in their last eight league games. Chelsea has only lost one of Chelsea’s last 15 games against the Clarets. In their previous fight against Burnley, Chelsea conceded a late goal to see a 1-1 finish but will be in top form for this match, having only failed to score in two of their last 16 games.

Chelsea scored 14 winning goals, conceding just one. Burnley failed to pick up a single win as Chelsea dominated them, beating them in 67% of games played. This year alone, the Burnley relegation fighters have scored points against Arsenal, Manchester United and Spurs, so they hope they can do the same against Chelsea. The loss has slowed down Burnley’s exit from the relegation zone in their last game against Leicester City, and they will try to make up for this when they take over Chelsea. West London has no better time to play relegation fighters, Burnley, in a 2-0 loss to Leicester Leicester midweek. Suffice to say, Burnley will be desperate for a positive result against Chelsea on Saturday.

Looking at the teams, we think Burnley are likely to score against Chelsea; however, one goal is unlikely to be enough. Chelsea is very favourite to win, so there is a chance to win away with a clean sheet. Ultimately, manager Antonio Conte may consider a draw worth one point as Chelsea moved Tottenham by 10 points. On Saturday afternoon, Chelsea faces Burnley at Turf Moor in a race for a three-game winning streak in the Premier League. Chelsea will try to dispel doubts about qualification for next season’s Champions League with a win over Burnley on Saturday.

Burnley have failed to score in four of their last six Premier League home games. At the same time, Chelsea managed to hold off a horrendous showdown with Liverpool for 120 minutes last weekend. This season, Sean Dyche has only won three Premier League games, the worst record in the Premier League, but Burnley has only lost four of their 12 games at Turf Moor, drawing six times. Burnley will be late to assess Ben Mee‘s readiness for a Premier League game against Chelsea, while Sean Dyche faces choice dilemmas elsewhere. Fantastic captain Ben Mee also has serious doubts about the match, from which a 2-0  loss to Leicester forced him out. Burnley captain Ben Mee has severe doubts about the game after suffering a knee injury. The game could be the subject of fierce controversy as Burnley has shown what Burnley are capable of over the past few weeks.
